Parkrun events promote healthy outdoor activity (with obvious physical and mental health benefits), foster community connections and bring economic benefit to the local area. Parkruns are free, weekly community organised running events. Currently there is an unofficial park run every Saturday morning in Hay on \wye
Organisers are looking to progress to becoming an official parkrun – and to put Hay and its locality on the parkrun platform. Volunteers are required to help organise the event, marshal the course, time-keep, record times and generally to ensure that the participants have a safe and enjoyable experience.
Organisers are looking to recruit others to join us to form a ‘core team’ to bring a parkrun to Hay.
